Placing a Tire Order Using TireConnect in Trax

TireConnect provides shops the opportunity to order tires through the Trax application and connect them seamlessly to a collision order, using one RO number to manage it all. Follow the process below to quickly place an order just for tires.

Note: If the following error message displays, the TireConnect integration has not been added. (Learn more about Connecting with Tire Suppliers.)

To place a standalone tire order:

1. Click New Order from the left side panel and choose Tires Order.
   
2. Choose the appropriate search option from the Select Search Option drop-down menu.
   •  
     1. Leave the Select Search Option drop-down on Search by VIN.
        
     2. Type the VIN in the provided field and click Validate.
        
     3. Once validated, a green icon displays, along with the vehicle make.
        
        1. If invalid, a red icon displays. Correct the VIN and try again. 
           
     4. Choose the appropriate tire Size from the drop-down. 
        
     5. When ready, click New Tires Order.
        
     6. Note: If at any point you wish to search for tires by size: 
        1. Click Search by Tire Size.
           
        2. Choose appropriately from each drop-down menu to filter your search criteria. 
           
           Options include: 
           • Width (required)
           • Profile (required)
           • Wheel Size (required)
           • Season (optional)
           • Speed Rating (optional)
           • Load Index (optional)
        3. When ready, click Search Now. The search results will update to only show tires meeting your criteria, rather than specific to the VIN. 
           
   •  
     1. Choose Search by Tire Size from the Select Search Option drop-down.
        
     2. The form will refresh with additional drop-down menus. Choose appropriately from each to filter your search criteria.
        
        Options include: 
        • Width (required)
        • Profile (required)
        • Wheel Size (required)
        • Season (optional)
        • Speed Rating (optional)
        • Load Index (optional)
     3. When finished, click New Tires Order.
        
     4. Note: If at any point you wish to search for tires by VIN: 
        1. Click Search by VIN.
           
        2. Type the VIN in the provided field and click Validate.
           
        3. Once validated, a green icon displays, along with the vehicle make. 
           
           1. If invalid, a red icon displays. Correct the VIN and try again. 
              
        4. Choose the appropriate tire Size from the drop-down.
           
        5. When ready, click Search Now. The search results will update to only show tires that will fit the VIN and selected tire size. 
           
3. The left side panel provides details about the vehicle. Enter an RO number to continue. 
   
4. In the Filter Bar, type the Quantity of tires needed and click Filter. (This filters out locations that may not have enough tires in stock.)
   
5. To filter the results further, adjust the drop-down menus and fields in the Filter Bar as desired and click Filter.
   
   Options include: 
   • Vehicle Make (drop-down or typed into field)
   • Vehicle Model (drop-down or typed into field)
   • View All or By Local Qty
   • Season
   • Size (drop-down or typed into field)
6. The search results display in a grid, showing the following information: 
   
   • Model
   • Part number
   • Size
   • Season
   • Warranty, if applicable
   • Supplier
   • Price
   • Number of suppliers with the desired quantity available
7. To view more details on a specific tire, click the icon. 
   
   1. Click the icon to hide the details. 
8. To view suppliers with the tire in stock, click Suppliers from the Actions column.
   
9. The Suppliers modal appears on the right, listing all available suppliers for that tire. Check the box to the left of the desired supplier.
   
   1. If the supplier has more than one location near you with available tires, check the desired option and enter the quantity to order in the provided field.
      
10. Select your preferences from the drop-down menus that display (i.e. Sales person, Delivery method, Delivery time). 
    
11. When ready, click Add to Cart.
    
12. Line items in the cart will display in blue. 
    
13. The cart in the left side panel will update accordingly.
    
14. Continue adding tires to the cart as needed.
    1. To remove tires from the cart, click Remove Selection.
       
15. When ready, click View Cart
    
16. Review the cart details as needed. When ready, click Place Order.
    
    1. If needed, click Remove next to any tires you no longer wish to order. 
       
17. A confirmation screen provides your order number. Click Go to Order Status to open the Orders queue.
